Poof - LhasaPoo
Poof is a calm yet playful, gentle and lovable! He's a fully housetrained little LhasaPoo to aand although much younger than we normally take in, he was brought in for a very special reason. Poof was hoping to be adopted by a young boy and his family. The young boy has serious health concerns and all he wanted was a dog of his own. Poof was a perfect gentleman and loved his boy but the boy's immune system was not strong enough so Poof is now in a foster home and looking for his fur-ever home once again. Yes, it's sad that his boy couldn't keep him but in a short time Poof gave his boy lots of happy times, laughs and forever love.
Poor little Poof was originally found wandering the streets in the middle of winter to fend for himself. It is unknown how long he was alone, but he was sadly very matted and covered in mud when rescued. His breed/mix was a mystery and once bathed they said "poof" we've found an adorable little dog and that is how he got his name. He is fully vaccinated and neutered. He has the greatest personality and has even learned to sneeze just to get attention. He is very smart and the things he could learn could be endless. He just really wants to love and be loved. He is great with any age children and other dogs. Not sure how he would do with a cat.
His adoption fee is $250.00
Gracie - petite, calm, Pointer mix with a tail that never stops wagging!
Are you looking for an playful, energetic yet well-mannered dog? That's Gracie!
Gracie's fave new game is playing hide and seek with her two furry foster siblings. She hides behind a tree and when they "find" her she playfully leaps out at them and then the three girls chase each other round and round the yard! Her foster parents say she outruns their 2 year old labradoodle even. But inside she knows her manners and is content to curl up on a dog bed or lounge near her people for some lovin'.
She's a very social girl and would do well in a home with another playful dog or two. She'd love an active family as she loves to take long walks, hike and go to the dog park. Gracie was found as a stray and came to us from a midwest shelter just days before she was scheduled to be euthanized to "make room for puppies". Our vets guess her to be about 8-9 years old, although her energy level and excellent physical condition leave many of us thinking she's younger. Although we don't know her breed/mix for sure she shows characteristics of a pointer, possibly foxhound as well.
Her suggested adoption donation is $50. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations and housetrained.
Please help us find Gracie a forever home where she can share her love with her forever family for the rest of her years....she deserves a place to call home.
Meet Annie....a young-at-heart beagle
(Courtesy crosspost)
Annie's family has reached out to us for help finding her a new home. They rescued Annie from a high-kill shelter five years ago and recently moved and Annie's not adjusting well to living in an apartment. She misses having a yard to roam in. Here's Annie's bio(written by her current family):
Hello there, my name is Annie! I’m a sweet older gal looking for a retirement
home. I’m about 12 years old and weigh in at a curvy 35 pounds. A great day for me would include sun-bathing, snoozing away on a comfy bed, taking a long walk after dinner, and of course some yummy pieces of chicken!
While I am great with people, children and cats, I would prefer to be an only dog. You see, I was attacked by a mean dog before and now I am very afraid when I see other dogs! Because of that, I am very selective with my doggie friends, but calm/submissive dogs are fine by me. I even have a doggie sister (Rosa the Chihuahua) and we get along great.
I have to go out often and would be happiest in a home with a doggie door or with someone who is home to let me out. Change is hard on an older gal like myself & I will need a bit of an adjustment period in my new home, but a regular schedule, daily walks, and belly rubs will go a long way in helping me settle in. Also, I’m embarrassed to say this, but I have some old lady lumps/bumps and cataracts, but the doctor said that I am in great heath overall.
Do I sound like the perfect match for you? If so, come meet me today! If interested in learning more about Annie please contact Kathy at 215.499.5267

Meet Jack! ***Adoption Pending
Hello! My name is Jack and I spent my whole life with one wonderful family & they loved me lot's. They had a baby who I adored and all was good, we were still family. Then the second baby came along and he had severe allergies to me. They tried everything but it just wasn't working. I had to spend more time outside and that wasn't much fun. Luckily, they called Izzy's Place and now I have a really great foster home where I get to hang out with other dogs, big and small, play in the big yard and sleep on my comfy dog bed right next to my foster mom's bed each night.
I've been in foster care for quite awhile and it kinda makes me sad because I know most don't want a dog that's 14 years old. But I'm not your typical 14 yr old dog. I've got good energy, enjoy daily walks, playing with toys and other dogs and I have impeccable house-manners I guess another reason no one wants me is that I have petite mal seizures. They're controlled by inexpensive medications but most people freak out when they hear seizures and don't even give me a chance. I sure wish someone would give me a chance. I'm such a good boy, very handsome too! But until then I am very much loved at my foster home.
I love all people, other dogs and even cats. Thanks for reading about me and I sure hope someone out there will let me adopt them!
Love, Jack
His suggested adoption donation is $50.
